Jessica is in talks to star in yet another movie, which will start filming soon. Read the article below.
Jessica Alba is becoming a Focker.
The actress is in negotiations to join the Ben Stiller-Robert DeNiro comedy “Little Fockers.” She’d play the role of an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreak havoc on male characters in the story.
Paul Weitz is directing the third installment in the Universal and Tribeca Productions franchise. Universal is banking heavily on “Fockers,” one of the studio’s few go-to franchises and an important one given its shaky summer. Production is set to begin in the next few months, with a 2010 release date more than likely.
The picture is expect to pick up where 2004’s “Meet the Fockers” left off, with Stiller’s Gaylord Focker and Teri Polo’s Pamela Byrnes having a child (or children — reports abound that they could be having twins). John Hamburg penned the latest version of the script.
Even if Alba’s role isn’t huge — and with so many other big actors (Stiller, DeNiro, Wilson) already set, it may not be — the move is a shrewd bit of casting for Universal. The franchise needs to rope in young men, and with the movie’s promise of babies and family — not always said demo’s main interest — it could use a Maxim-esque presence.
The WME-repped Alba, incidentally, is set to star in the Robert Rodriguez thriller “Machete” for Sony as well as Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day” for New Line. Both are also movies that could — and need to — bring in the boys. That’s what she does.

Jessica Alba attended the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City on Thursday to promote global education for all children, and told PEOPLE she also relentlessly promotes education at home with 1-year-old daughter Honor Marie.
“I am a mother who shoves information down her throat, poor thing,” the currently blond actress said with a laugh. “I sing her songs about colors in Spanish and English when I’m cooking. Literally I integrate learning into everything I do. We’re into colors because I feel that’s something a 15-month-old can sort of identify. So now she kind of points to blue and says ‘azul’ and I say ‘Yes, azul, muy bien!’ It’s slow going but she’s sort of picking it up.”
The Fantastic Four actress proudly says her little daughter is bilingual already – almost. “She says gato for cat. Pato for duck, but dog is dog,” Alba says. “She doesn’t say perro. She kind of flips back and forth. She’s very silly. She growls like a lion whenever I say leon.”
Alba announced that she will be the United States co-chair of 1GOAL, the new campaign to make education for all children the legacy of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Alba says as a mother “everything becomes more important,” particularly education, which is why she is particularly dedicated to the non-profit. “It’s a human right, I believe, to have the opportunity to have an education and it’s unacceptable that 75 million children on this planet don’t have a chance to have one.”
She hopes to bring her daughter to Africa for the first time early next year. “I’m actually really excited about going to Africa for the first time with my daughter and exposing her to a completely different culture and having her learn through life experiences,” she explained. “That’s one thing she’s going to get that not a lot of children have the luxury of having: traveling and being exposed to world issues and cultures and food. I can’t wait.”
She adds that she’s excited 1GOAL is affiliated with the World Cup because she is a soccer fan. “I played soccer when I was a kid and so did my husband,” she says. “The wonderful thing about the 1GOAL campaign being tied into the World Cup is it’s the one time in the world when everyone puts down their differences, puts down their weapons, and roots for a team.”

Jessica Alba and her up-coming movie ‘Machete’ are featured in Total Film’s Future 100 list, which looks at ‘everything that matters over the next 12 months’. CLICK HERE check out the ‘Machete’ feature, and read below what it said about Jessica.
#74: Jessica Alba
How to cleanse oneself of The Love Guru? For Alba it’s going lo-fi with Michael Winterbottom in crime-thriller The Killer Inside Me. Kudos to her for realising that spandex and horror remakes won’t make you the next Angelina Jolie… If that plan fails, she has back-up: Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse spin-off Machete (#59) and star-laced romcom Valentine’s Day.
