Calgary blogger and Twitter queen Kelly Oxford, 33, has a lot going on these days. The mother of three (Salinger, 9; Henry, 7; and Beatrix, 2) has just signed a deal with HarperCollins to write a memoir, and has a sitcom in development with CBS which Jessica Alba is co-executive producing. Still, the Edmonton-born stay-at-home mom manages to regularly post her snarky, straight-up observational Tweets to her more than 100,000 followers – Howard Stern, Jimmy Kimmel and Roger Ebert among them.
How did the TV show Mother of All Something come about?
My friend Jhoni Marchinko (Emmy award-winning writer, producer) and I would talk on the phone, and the more we talked, the more she told me I should develop some of what I was living as a young mother into a spec pilot, as a writing sample, to try to get an agent. Within a week of finishing writing the script, [Hollywood agency] WME called about representing me. I told them I had the sample, gave it to them and they said it was saleable.
How did Jessica Alba get involved?
Jessica followed me on Twitter, she asked me for my number, we started to talk. She was interested in working together because she identified with my style of writing, my voice as a mother. She loved the pilot and offered to help and support my work in any way. We became friends really quickly.
WANT to know who ate all the pies and also tucked into chocs and cakes, too? Step forward Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson.
The Hollywood babes star in hilarious before and after slimming shots in a spoof ad for US TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live! They all did the “Jimmy K” diet – he ate 80% of what was on their plates.
Scarlett says before she tried the diet: “I hired a Ninja to slap the food out of my hand before I could eat it.” (Mirror)

Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly and Sofia Vergara also took part in an “infomercial” in which the host plays a DVD workout pitchman.
Sunday night marked the sixth annual Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards special, and the host debuted a new comedic video featuring a slew of big-name celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Sofia Vergara and Lindsay Lohan.
The video features Kimmel as “Jimmy K,” creator of a workout DVD titled Hottie Body Humpilates who claims to have helped the hottest celebrities get into shape.
“I train the ladies who fill the big screens in skinny jeans,” Kimmel says. “Let my Hottie Body Humpilates DVD Transform your body from Flabby Abby to Ripa’d Kelly.”
For example, before Vergara used the DVD, “she was a disgusting hippopotamus, but now she’s as hot as the devil’s armpit on the Fourth of July thanks to a workout regime so simple it’s almost impossible to understand,” Kimmel quipped.
Also appearing in the clip are Minka Kelly, Kelly Ripa, Eva Longoria and Emily Blunt. (ThehollywoodReporter.com)

The Honest Company
The Honest Company is a newly created brand that passionately believes that all parents should have access to safer, healthier family products that don’t break the bank. Parents are becoming increasingly concerned about poorly regulated, chemically-laden, baby products, but the alternatives are often expensive, inaccessible, and bland. The need and desire for affordable and non-toxic products – e...specially baby diapers and essentials – is greater than ever.
In response to this market gap, The Honest Company offers a monthly subscription service providing expert curated children’s products consisting of what mom’s need most, all conveniently delivered to subscribers’ front-doors!
"When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been," she says. "It's the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start."
"As a mother, I cannot imagine what it must be like for parents who cannot afford the most basic necessities for their babies. No child, regardless of his/her family's socio-economic status, should ever be without diapers, food, clothing or hygiene items. Our goal is to help alleviate some of the burden on these families by providing them with these essentials."
"I was alarmed to learn about all the potential harmful products in my home and lifestyle – like toxic chemicals in plastics used to make baby bottles, brain toxins in children’s toys, carcinogens in my cleaning products… the list went on and on!
Please stand with me as concerned citizen and parent and take action today. Ask your Senators to support the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011. This new bill that would increase the safety of chemicals used in your consumer products, increase public access to health and safety information, and protect vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children."
