Sure, Into the Blue was a barely-concealed excuse to put her in a two-piece for the duration of a feature-length movie, but she was fearless in the noir hit Sin City—albeit, as a stripper. Okay, so maybe she’s not gotten very far in the serious actress department. But she’ll have the next 10 years to overcome her genetic gifts.

BENCICIO DEL TORO: So, you have to do some dancing in [Sin City]. Did you practice for that?

JESSICA ALBA: Yeah [Laughs]. When I got hired I talked to Robert [Rodriguez] and as like, “Should I talk to some choreographers? I can put together a routine if you give me some music, and that way I can duplicate it.” Bet he was like, “Yeeeah… Np. Did you see Salma Hayek’s dance in From Duck ‘Til Dawn? [1996]?” And I said, “yeah, that was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen in my life!” And he said, “Well, I just put on some music, and she just dance.” But I was terrified. I’m not an extrovert. So, I just went to a bunch of strip clubs to do research. I would have to get a little tipsy, though, because it’s kind of intimidating talking to these women with incredible bodies who are writihing in front of you. But I learned some stuff from them. I hit about four strip clubs in L.A., two in new York, and two in texas.

DEL TORO: And aren’t you working with, like, a rope or a lasso, too?

ALBA: Yeah. I had a rope guy teach me how to twist it around like a lasso and stuff. I just spent every night in Texas in the Four Seasons in my underwear, knocking overlamps trying to lasso things.

GQ has published a list of celebrities who have featured on the front cover of its magazine in the past decade.

Devil’s Advocate star Theron appeared in 2000, followed by singer Lopez in 2002 and actress Eva Mendes in 2003.

Angelina Jolie and Lindsay Lohan were the favourite stars featuring in the magazine in 2004, while Jessica Alba was photographed in 2005.

Other celebrities to make the list were Adriana Lima, Jessica Biel, Megan Fox, Jennifer Aniston and January Jones.

US actress Brittany Murphy died yesterday from heart attack at the age of 32.

Multiple sources told celebrity news website TMZ.com that she went into full cardiac arrest and despite multiple attempts, could not be revived.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Devon Gale said emergency services were called to the house she shared with her British screenwriter husband Simon Monjack in Los Angeles at 8am local time.

According to reports, her mother Sharon Murphy discovered her daughter unconscious in the shower.

Paramedics determined that Brittany was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR.

They continued mouth-to-mouth as they sped to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, several miles away from her home, but Brittany was pronounced dead on arrival at 10.04am on Sunday.

An Invisible Sign of My Own – For those who don’t know the story, Mad Hat Ballroom, Marilyn Agrelo’s doc film wasn’t good enough to get into Sundance, but was the hot title pick up from Slamdance. Based on Aimee Bender’s book, Jessica Alba, J.K. Simmons, Chris Messina and Sonia Braga star in the film that “centers around Mona Gray (Alba) is a 20-year-old loner who, as a child, turned to math for salvation after her father became ill (Simmons). As an adult, Mona now teaches the subject and must help her students through their own crises”. Sundance Selection Forecast: 70% Chance. With Alba in a parka, Kimmel International will want to use the fest to close up final sales and production co. Silverwood Films have been provided Sundance fair since 2006.

The Killer Inside Me – With Michael Winterbottom already coming to the fest for The Shock Doctrine, I’m thinking that he might bring this film in the same suitcase. Written by Robert Weinbach and John Curran and based on Jim Thompson’s novel, the story follows a West Texas sheriff (Casey Affleck) and his downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer. Jessica Alba plays a prostitute. Sundance Selection Forecast: 50% Chance. Low budget pulp film is available for domestic pick-up. Look for the title to end up in Berlin as well.

There were barely any celebrities at West Hollywood hotspot Villa the night of November 19 — which might be why Lindsay Lohan and Cash Warren immediately gravitated towards one another.

Film producer Warren, 30, was partying without Jessica Alba, his wife of one and half years and mom to his daughter Honor, 18 months. “When he goes out with friends, he gets into trouble,” a pal says of Alba’s husband in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Indeed. Soon after discovering one another at Villa, Warren and Lohan “ignored friends and just chatted.” The real trouble began half an hour in. “Lindsay and Cash started making out,” an onlooker tells Us.

“Lip on tongue,” the eyewitness continues, “It was raw. They were not shy!”

Another Villa patron that night gasped, “It was a shock to see the two of them kiss, but it was real.”

For her part, Lohan tells Us that the account is “absurd. He is married. I wouldn’t dare kiss him.”

But pals of both Lohan and Warren — who share a love of nightlife — insist otherwise. Those close to Warren and Alba worry that their marriage is already on shaky footing. “Jessica is not as into Cash as she used to be,” one source says.

And the ever-fragile Lohan “becomes easily attached to everyone she meets and gets close to,” one friend says. Adds another: “she’s falling for [Cash].”

Though Us Weekly is reporting that Cash Warren and Lindsay Lohan ended up making out at Villa on November 19, a source close to Cash and wife Jessica Alba tells X17online exclusively that the report is completely bogus.

A snitch told Us that after chatting for about thirty minutes at the club, “Lindsay and Cash started making out. Lip on tongue. It was raw. They were not shy!” Another source backs the story up, adding, “It was a shock to see the two of them kiss, but it was real.”

HOWEVER, a source close to Jessica and Cash tells X17online.com exclusively:

“Cash Warren would never, in a million years, do something like make out with Lindsay Lohan at a club or anywhere else. He has a good thing going with Jessica and he’s not going to do anything to screw it up.”

X17 photographers spotted Lindsay grabbing fast food and returning to her home at 3:30AM on the 20th in a silver Cadillac sedan, which is not her usual car. One of our photogs on the scene tells X17online exclusively:

“Lindsay snuck into her house through the garage around 3:30AM. We weren’t able to get any pictures, but we did hear that she was at Voyeur that night, which is her regular Thursday night spot, not Villa.”

Lindsay even told Us that the reports were “absurd. He is married. I wouldn’t dare kiss him.” The two have been friends for quite some time, so we were shocked when we heard this! Almost as shocked as when we heard it all went down at Villa, which isn’t exactly a spot Lindsay frequents these days.

Our source went on to say, “You have to wonder if people are just looking to make up sensational stories about married couples, in the wake of the Tiger Woods scandal, to be the first to ‘break’ celebrity cheating stories – even at the expense of the stories being untrue.”

Even more comic book movies for Jessica Alba? Apparently so. Pajiba says that they’ve learned Alba will star in an adaptation of Insiders, a series of Belgian graphic novels published by Dargaud. Apparently Alba herself put up the money to buy the rights with a little help from her friend Robert Rodriguez, who will be producing this as well. Additionally, they report that French-Algerian filmmaker Mabrouk El Mechri, who broke out in a big way directing the Jean Claude Van Damme drama JCVD last year, is now attached to direct this project. No start date is set (as far as we know), but it sounds like it’s ready to start shooting.

Insiders, first created back in 2002, centers on Najah Cruz, “a Columbian who is as deadly as she is beautiful. She has the weapons expertise and combat skills of a James Bond. At the secret request of the White House she infiltrates a worldwide mafia-like organization composed of businessmen and politicians and becomes the bodyguard of the organization’s leader.” That actually sounds kind of cool. And I’m glad that this story isn’t just meat for the Hollywood grinder. It could easily be turned into some cheesy piece of crap story with G.I. Joe-like characters in it, but with El Mechri directing, I’m confident that won’t happen.

I don’t know if everyone has even had the chance to see JCVD yet, but it’s a very well-directed film, and I can’t see El Mechri going from that to some huge Hollywood project. Which is exactly why I feel like this is better off being adapted by El Mechri and Rodriguez than a Hollywood studio. Anyone else interested?

Jessicaalba.net’s video streaming site Alba-Videos.net was featured in a news segment for both E! News and the Daily 10 (#5 video of the day) which aired on Monday (Oct 5th). The headline was “Failed Audition” and they played Jessica’s audition tape for ‘Get Smart’. The video has since then been removed as it was copyrighted to Warner Bros. It was kind of negative but still cool for the site to be featured lol. I would have uploaded it but don’t have a clue how to. Hope some of you watched it.
