Jessica Alba is scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill next week to urge Congress to pass the Safe Chemicals Act, according to Politico.
A spokesperson for the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Coalition, Alba will be in the nation’s capital on May 24 and 25 to meet with politicians and ask them to push for the legislation to “increase the safety of chemicals used in consumer products, increase public access to health and safety information, and protect vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children.” The actress, who often rates high in desirability and sex appeal rankings, will hold a press conference on the first day of her trip.
“Alba, a mother of one with a second child on the way, first learned four years ago about toxic plastics used to make baby bottles, brain toxins in children’s toys, carcinogens in cleaning products, hormone-disrupting chemicals and many other dangerous poisons that children are exposed to on a regular basis,” Alba said in a press release.
This isn’t Alba’s first dip into political activism. In 2009, the California native reportedly vandalized electrical boxes, a bridge and a billboard in an effort to spread awareness on saving great white sharks. Alba later released a statement of apology to People magazine, “I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment…I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign.” (Daily Caller)
Controversial dating service AshleyMadison.com, which connects those seeking extramarital affairs, recently surveyed more than 30,000 of its U.S. members to find out with which celebrity they would most like to cheat on their spouse.
Pregnant actress Jessica Alba topped the list, with 15 percent of the males surveyed indicating she’d be their first choice, followed by Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, and Scarlett Johansson – who was, incidentally, the only blonde to make the cut.
Other celebrities “honored” in the survey included Natalie Portman, Kim Kardashian and Anne Hathaway.
When it came to women’s dream fling, Johnny Depp was voted into the top spot, followed by George Clooney, Hugh Jackman and President Barack Obama, who beat out Hollywood heartthrobs like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling.
Proving that the “cougar” movement is in full force, “High School Musical” sensation Zac Efron even swooped in at number 13. (FoxNews)
IMDB.com has listed a new film entitled ‘Hands of Stone’ staring the legend Al Pacino. Set for release next year. Hope is true, Alba is always good in Action flicks. Big thanks to @HoneyEyes91
Follows the life of Roberto Duran, who made his professional debut in 1968 as a 16-year-old and retired in 2002 at age 50. In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard to capture the WBC welterweight title but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in the November rematch, saying ‘no mas’ (no more).
She revealed in February that she’s pregnant with her second child, and now Jessica Alba has another big announcement to make: The actress has been named the new face of Piaget’s Possession jewelry collection.
“The thing that’s so great about these pieces is how chic and simple they are,” Alba says in the announcement video. “I love the idea of layering the gold and the silver and the rose gold—and that sparkly line is nice. All those diamonds!”
TMZ now has more victims of the hackers who are in the cross hairs of the FBI for pilfering nude pics of celebrities.
We’ve learned the ring has hit the mobile and other devices of Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera. We’ve already told you the ring also stole pics and video from Vanessa Hudgens, Scarlett Johansson, Ali Larter, Busy Philipps, Miley Cyrus, Emma Caulfield, Addison Timlin and Renee Olstead.
In all, the FBI believes the ring has targeted 50 celebs — all female. (TMZ)

The Honest Company
The Honest Company is a newly created brand that passionately believes that all parents should have access to safer, healthier family products that don’t break the bank. Parents are becoming increasingly concerned about poorly regulated, chemically-laden, baby products, but the alternatives are often expensive, inaccessible, and bland. The need and desire for affordable and non-toxic products – e...specially baby diapers and essentials – is greater than ever.
In response to this market gap, The Honest Company offers a monthly subscription service providing expert curated children’s products consisting of what mom’s need most, all conveniently delivered to subscribers’ front-doors!
"When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been," she says. "It's the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start."
"As a mother, I cannot imagine what it must be like for parents who cannot afford the most basic necessities for their babies. No child, regardless of his/her family's socio-economic status, should ever be without diapers, food, clothing or hygiene items. Our goal is to help alleviate some of the burden on these families by providing them with these essentials."
"I was alarmed to learn about all the potential harmful products in my home and lifestyle – like toxic chemicals in plastics used to make baby bottles, brain toxins in children’s toys, carcinogens in my cleaning products… the list went on and on!
Please stand with me as concerned citizen and parent and take action today. Ask your Senators to support the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011. This new bill that would increase the safety of chemicals used in your consumer products, increase public access to health and safety information, and protect vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children."
