For all you “Honey” fans out there, get excited…. “Honey 2″ has started production in Los Angeles.

If you’re a “Vampire Diaries” fan, the news that Katerina Graham will play the lead in “Honey 2″ should really sweeten the pot.

“Honey 2″ is directed by Billie Woodruff (“Beauty Shop”), who brought the first “Honey” (starring Jessica Alba, Mekhi Phifer, Joy Bryant and Lil’ Romeo) to the big screen in 2003. “Honey 2″ is slated to premiere exclusively on DVD in the fall of 2011.

The second installment “takes audiences into the complex world of street crews who express both their individuality and community through an awe-inspiring array of dance styles including b-boy, turfin’, hyphy, morphing, gliding, popping, locking, salsa and jazz, among many others.” Graham plays 17-year-old Maria Bennett, who re-discovers her love of dance at her childhood rec center after a brush with the law.

Graham will be joined in “Honey 2″ by Randy Wayne (“Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning”), Seychelle Gabriel (“The Last Airbender”), Christopher “War” Martinez (“Bring It On: Fight to the Finish”), Brittany Perry Russell (“CSI: NY”), Tyler Nelson (“Stomp The Yard 2″), Luke Broadlick (Britney Spears “Circus” tour, “Step Up 3-D”), and Melissa Smith (“The Pussycat Dolls Present: the Search for the Next Doll”).

Jessica Alba is known as a superhero in The Fantastic Four and today you can see her everyday at the Madame Tussauds London. A full size waxwork of actress Jessica Alba as The Invisible Woman character from the Fantastic Four is on display at the new exhibit and it looks like she walked right off the movie and onto the streets of London Town.

From Spider man crawling the wall to the Incredible Hulk (which appears to be three floors high), you can pose with the figurines in the gallery, but it doesn’t end there. Hellboy fans are also able to see and experience how the heroes live and breathe.

Once you have your fill of photos, the next step is to get into the theater for the Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience movie. Using a 4D approach, expect a ride that is like no other. Promising intense visual moments, a strong presence that could even shake your seat and a storyline of how all the Marvel superheros come together to save London. The only thing you need to do is sit back and let the heroes do their jobs.

This new exhibit at the Madame Tussauds London has created a lot of buzz for the superheros, because after all, they are celebrities in their own right.

This year’s Costume Institute Gala in New York will be a little different than most: it’s hosted by Gap executive vice president of global design Patrick Robinson, and to celebrate, he’s teamed up with a handful of designers to dress a number of hip young things – that’s celebrities, to you and us.
Gap, you see, in sponsoring the ‘American Women: Fashioning a National Identity’ exhibition at the gala, and has collaborated on numerous bespoke designs to dress the stars accordingly – a list which reads like a who’s who in the worlds of fashion and celebrity.

M.I.A. and Zoe Kravitz are set to come dressed in Alexander Wang for Gap; Kirsten Dunst and Jamie Bochert are wearing Rodarte for Gap; Jessica Alba and Vera Farmiga will come clad in Sophie Theallet for Gap; and Kerry Washington and Riley Keough will wear Thakoon for Gap, WWD reveal.

And if you find that particularly impressive, wait ’til you hear this: you can get your hands on one of the designs. Gap will be auctioning the eight dresses in a silent auction at gap.com/gownauction between May 4 and May 31, where the proceeds will go towards the Costume Institute.

#9 Jessica Alba

Last year: 3rd

What a difference four years makes. “I don’t do nudity. I just don’t. I have too much anxiety,” said the leggy Californian back in 2006. So how did Brit director Michael Winterbottom persuade our 2007 winner to bare all during several S&M scenes in controversial film noir The Killer Inside Me? We’ll wager it wasn’t with the promise of her character then being beaten to within an inch of her life. Let’s hope it hasn’t put the 29-year-old off any repeat performances any time soon.

Top 10:
#10. Abbey Clancy
#09. Jessica Alba
#08. Adriana lima
#07. Kelly Brook
#06. Kristen Stewart
#05. Keeley Hazell
#04. Frankie Sandford
#03. Marisa Miller
#02. Megan Fox

April 22, 2010 marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, so it was fitting that it was also the day that the environmentalist documentary “Climate of Change” had its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. Narrated by Tilda Swinton, “Climate of Change” features interviews with several people around the world who voice their thoughts on how the environment is affecting them and what they think should be done to improve their environment.

After the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Climate of Change” (the event was held at the SVA Theater in New York City), Jessica Alba participated in a question-and-answer session as part of the festival’s “Tribeca Talks: After the Movie” discussions. Alba does not appear in “Climate of Change,” but she is a high-profile advocate of environmentalism, and she is an honorary U.S. co-chair of the global education campaign 1GOAL. (Alba’s film “The Killer Inside Me” makes its New York premiere at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.) Here is what Alba had to say at the “Climate of Change” Q&A session.

You were on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., yesterday [April 21, 2010] talking about 1GOAL. Can you tell us more about 1GOAL?

I was invited by Queen Rania of Jordan to participate in this campaign to basically put pressure on world leaders to make sure every child has access to education … It’s the most sustainable, real way to fight poverty for a child: to have a primary-school education. There are all these insane stats …

[It’s about] people lending their voice. Government won’t choose to make a change or make a difference unless people stand up for something, and so our campaign is to sign up and put pressure on the world leaders and force them to make a change. And so, along those lines, what we’re trying to do is educate the public.

How was it being on Capitol Hill?

Intense. Politicians are grinding.

How do you use social media to encourage people to get involved in the causes that you advocate?

Well, I was on Capitol Hill yesterday, and I tweet. I tweeted out that I was there and what I was advocating, and asked people to sign up and get behind [1GOAL] so they’ll have followers. It’s really amazing the access that you have. We really are a global citizen now — and I feel like it’s real now more than ever — and using this film ["Climate of Change"] as one area, one entry point, but following it up with … a shorter, condensed version. What can you tweet out to get people engaged in 150 characters or less?

Like they said in the movie ["Climate of Change"]: “We’re the future; we’re the ones who are going to make a difference.” [It’s about] engaging them and getting them excited behind their power, and knowing they can be a part of that and use in it in an amazing way to make sure that we stop global warming. We now have the consciousness and have we have access to all this information. It’s about engaging them on their level.

What do you do to make your daughter more educated and aware of being environmentally responsible?

I’m sort of obsessed with it, personally. I always have non-toxic cleaning products in my house. The only plastic she has is [from] my mom … I try to talk to my family about it. It’s tough for people to imagine that big companies and big corporations will produce things that are poisonous not only to their children but to the environment. And they feel like there’s nothing they can do, but actually you can read the label … and get behind companies that are doing the right thing. So that’s the way we live our life.

Twentieth Century Fox and Robert Rodriquez will wield their machetes over Labor Day weekend.
Studio has set Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis’ “Machete” for release in theaters on Sept. 3. Pic is based on Rodriguez’s fake trailer for “Grindhouse.”

Rodriguez and Maniquis co-directed the film from Rodriquez’s script.

“Machete” stars Danny Trejo as a blade-wielding Mexican ex-Federale who is double-crossed by a crooked politician. Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriquez and Lindsay Lohan also star.

Producers are Rodriquez, Rick Schwartz, Aaron Kaufman, Iliana Nikolic and Elizabeth Avellan. The “Machete” trailer generated big interest when airing on YouTube. The feature-length version was financed by Overnight Prods., who sold off international rights to Sony and several territory distributors. That provided the bulk of the money needed to shoot the film, which Rodriguez lensed last fall in Austin, Texas.

Labor Day weekend is a popular frame for genre films. Also opening that weekend is Sony’s comedy “Born to Be a Star.” Two days earlier, Focus Features’ opens George Clooney pic “The American.”

“Machete” reunites Fox and Rodriguez, who worked on the “Predators” franchise together.

In January, Fox won a bidding war to distribute the film domestically, beating out Paramount and Lionsgate.

Click on the previews below to view them aswell as the interview highlights.

This month Total Film has been hanging out with Jessica Alba, and along with a great cover shot, she gave us all the inside info on The Killer Inside Me, Machete and Sin City 2.

The Killer Inside Me
“Violence, death and killing not pretty, and I think maybe people have this idea that this homicidal maniac should do it cleanly and victims should jut scream and it’s over. But this isn’t a horror movie.”

Sin City 2
” Nancy’s the sweetest by far of all the women, she wasn’t jaded at all – so it would be nice to see effects of her adult life on her. It might be fun to see when she gets her groove and understands the ways of the world.”

Brittany Murphy’s death
“I wouldn’t equate what happened to her with Hollywood and being a woman. I knew her more personally than at work. It just seemed like such a shame that others people in the world couldn’t experience her light and brightness and her sweetness”.

The paparazzi
“It is what it is. But if I don’t leave the house, I don’t get to go anywhere and there’s no point in doing that. I’m a person! I think if you complain about it you seem like an asshole. More of an asshole than if you just go with it. It’s not like you ever get used to it – it’s like having sex with the camera in front of you – it’s just as awkward!”

Daughter Honor
“My daughter is so independent. No one’s going to stomp on her, no one’s going to tell her anything, she’s going to do exactly what she wants to do. She’s not a weak girl!”
