Until Jessica Alba and fiancé Cash Warren’s baby girl arrives this summer, the pregnant actress is stopping to smell the roses – though she’s aware of the serious challenges she’ll soon face.
“At the end of the day I am so tired I can’t function or speak and my eyes glaze over,” Alba, 27, tells Fit Pregnancy magazine for its June/July issue, “but this pregnancy has seriously mellowed me out, which is nice. I’ve been going, going, going for so long, it feels nice not to take things so seriously.”
And though she finds herself craving citrus products during her pregnancy, when it comes to what she’ll allow as a mother, she says: “I don’t want to be my child’s best friend; I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it’s going to be about treading that line.”

Maxim has released it’s annual hot 100 list of 2008, and Jessica who came 2nd last year, is at 34 this year. This is ridiculous considering the top 10.

Gearing up for her latest movie, the Mike Myers comedy The Love Guru, Jessica Alba takes on the guise of screen comedy’s first iconic figure, Charlie Chaplin – all for the June issue of Allure.
In the course of the accompanying interview, the pregnant Alba, 27, opens up about her sexy public image and how she finally learned to feel comfortable with her body.
Some highlights from the interview:
On Her Steamy Public Image: “[Hollywood] always play[s] up your sexuality, because that’s what gets men into the theaters. And I never really gave a s— about all that stuff! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. But it is definitely not what I am about by any means!”
On Owning Her Sexuality:“I don’t think I was comfortable with my sexuality until I was an adult, probably, like, 22 – that’s when I stopped apologizing and stopped feeling ashamed. I did the Vagina Monologues in L.A. That made me proud.”
On Sex Before Marriage:“I never believed women had to be virgins when they got married, or that a woman has to fall in love with a guy just because they’re having sex. I don’t think sex is a big deal. I hated the hypocrisy of it. Men can do whatever, and it’s acceptable.”
“The Hills” star has joined the cast of “Into the Blue 2,” MGM Home Entertainment and Bluewater Prods.’ sequel to the Jessica Alba starrer.
The film revolves around Sebastion (Chris Carmack, “The O.C.”) and Dani (Laura Vandervoort, “Smallville”), a married couple hired as professional divers to search for Columbus’ hidden treasure. To their horror, they learn that their wealthy employers have a much more terrifying agenda.
Patridge will play a no-nonsense, beautiful beach babe whose boyfriend caters to her every command.
Charles Winkler is directing and producing. Hudson Hickman, Craig Roessler and Sarah Berrisford are executive producers.
Patridge, repped by APA and John Carrabino Management, is the first reality celeb from “The Hills” to get an acting role in a film. The show’s Lauren Conrad appeared in the 2007 Regency comedy “Epic Movie” as herself.
“The Hills,” MTV’s highest-rated series, recently was picked up for a fourth season, which will debut in August.
The first “Blue,” which MGM made with Columbia in 2005, took in a little more than $18 million at the U.S. boxoffice, then made a killing on DVD on the strength of a bikini-clad Alba and the ab-tastic Paul Walker.
